At HULSEYIP since January 2008, John has drafted and successfully prosecuted numerous patent and trademark applications as well as advised clients through intellectual property licensing and purchase transactions.
John also serves as intellectual property counsel for several technology companies developing intellectual property portfolio strategy and assisting in securing, protecting, and commercializing intellectual property rights.
He has taught intellectual property at the University of Texas and for entrepreneurial groups such as Tech Ranch Austin and the Alamo Inventors. John splits his time between our Austin and San Antonio offices.
John received a Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Systems Engineering from The Georgia Institute of Technology in December 2004. Coursework included:

• principles and applications of engineering materials
• object oriented programming
• database systems
• circuits and electronics
• linear and discrete mathematics
During college, John interned in the supplier performance division of Applied Materials focusing on supply chain management and quality improvement methods.
