IP PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND
Marco Sousa, Esq. is native to and licensed for the practice of patent law in Portugal before the INPI, the Portuguese Industrial Property Office, the European Patent Office and the Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market (Trade Marks and Designs) – European Union. Responsible for different patent,
trademark and copyright applications and prosecution. Drafted licenses and other agreements concerning different technologies created at University of Minho. In 2009, HULSEYIP will open an office at the SpinPark Technology Business Incubator in Guimarães, Portugal. Mr. Sousa will serve as the principal HULSEYIP contact for these efforts to protect and commercialize the technologies of our SpinPark clients. Marco collaborates with the patent attorneys, agents, and staff of HULSEYIP in Industrial Property matters.
Mr. Sousa and the practioners of HULSEYIP provide the services of U.S. filing of European patent applications and European filing of U.S. patent applications. With files and tasks supported by modern software and the team of HULSEYIP practioners, Mr. Sousa and the entire HULSEYIP team perform advisory services relating with the protection of Industrial Property Rights.
